One of the things that I always do whenever I have to wait in a waiting room or lobby somewhere is to search around for brochures that I can read. I have found that brochures are one of the best ways to get a brief education on topics that I might not otherwise have a reason to learn anything about. And since I’m just waiting in a waiting room anyway - why not get educated?

Recently when I was waiting in the lobby of my dentist’s office, I noticed a brochure for the printing place located next door. I read through the brochure and learned all about integrated marketing, what a PURL is and how it is involved in marketing and which services are offered at 4 color printing north carolina publishers. I would never have learned about marketing or printing if I hadn’t picked up that brochure.

Of course, you don’t get in-depth information about a topic from a brochure. That’s not the point. You get an introduction to topics so that you can learn new things. If things interest you then you can take your research further. The brochure usually even points you to a website where you can learn more!
