Sleep Apnea and Sleep Cycles
By Store in Health | 0 comments
A woman today approached me because she was told that I have sleep apnea. First of all, I wanted to know who the heck has been talking about my sleeping habits, but that’s beside the point. She was so sweet about it! Her doctor just suggested she go to a specialist about it, and she was so nervous about the idea of getting hooked up to a machine all night long. She blushed and asked how it would effect her sex life with her husband, and I laughed. She looked terrified. I think she thought I meant that my husband and I no longer have sex, because obviously the idea of me in a sleep apnea mask is just horrific and terrifying. Au contraire, mon frere! I assured her that it really does make such a huge difference in your sleep cycle, but so far I haven’t felt any negative side effects in my personal life. My husband and I make a lot of time for each other, and a little CPAP machine isn’t going to get in the way of that. Not to mention that I would never let him get away with that kind of crap. And I told her my favorite site for CPAP supplies. She seemed pretty happy about it—I’ll catch up with her later to make sure everything’s going well.
