Products for use in the United States aren’t always built here. Often, an idea generated in business is sent overseas after engineers create specifications for production. Overseas manufacturing facilities often produce goods more efficiently and less expensively than domestic manufacturers.

An example of the relationship between production needs and overseas manufacturing can be highlighted by a sports group who needed a specific kind of cleat with plastic, interchangeable spikes. The idea was generated as a result of professional football players and their coaches’ feedback about cleat performance.    An engineer generated specifications and set them to a factory in China. After meeting with the engineers in China via a video conference service, a prototype was created and sent back to the US for a performance evaluation.  The football players used the new cleats and provided more feedback to the manufacturer. Again, the US based engineers and the China based engineers met in the virtual world using videoconferencing services so neither group had to travel to the other location.

After the cleats were approved for mass production, the football players received the shipment and exclusively used their very own designed cleat every Sunday when playing their opponents. By using the video conference facility at their headquarters, they got the products they wanted and never had to leave the US to manufacture this highly specified product.

The guide was entitled, “GA Fly Fishing.” I was excited at the prospect of finding something new; a new hobby and adventure. Unfortunately, fishing wasn’t my thing and I’d never had any luck getting a good cast. Even though I didn’t get to go on a fly fishing trip, I occasionally see shows about it on TV and there are many websites online that explain fly fishing. There is a lot to learn. Subjects with a lot to learn are good - an entire knowledgebase of information and experience that you’ve never known before. It is exciting, can take a lot of time, but also allows you to learn about something entirely new.

Aside from possibly going on the best bass fishing trip, you may catch a huge trout. Fly fishing though, looks tough. The many different fly types look interesting in that they mimic types of insects to float on or in the water. I couldn’t imagine being fooled by fake food; well actually, I have, so maybe it’s not so far fetched for fish. So, now I wonder about the whole world out there of fly fishing. Every day, there are probably thousands of flies being cast into a calm lake in the wilderness, somewhere.

When I spend some time looking at the Orlando rental cars on the market, I am floored by how many choices I actually have. I am looking for something specific, and I keep hoping that I can find a great price on my trip to Orlando. I have even been using websites that teach you how to save money on your trip to Walt Disney World and other Orlando locations. So, I am quite impressed that there are so many great options when it comes to  rental car Orlando options.

But, I am not sure how much time I should spend on finding the right car. After all, I do not plan to spend much time in it. From my research online, it looks like virtually everything in the city is pretty close to each other, so there are no long drives in our future, unless we drive out to NASA or the ocean, which would be a full day trip. So, I am looking for some opinions and information about getting around in the city and what size vehicle I should need for our family of five. Money is important but having a good car rental Orlando option is also important to use, too.

After reading my latest purchase from Amazon entitled All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, I started thinking beyond that and about five things I wish my parents made me do.

• 1. Read a newspaper article daily. Reading is such a gift and the knowledge that is passed through the gift of a book, an article, a newspaper clipping often contains hidden gems that are priceless.

I can’t lie, there is nothing better than retail therapy. I love to get into the car on a nice day and go shop until I drop. At least, it is fun for a little while. I will buy clothes, shoes, handbags, makeup and other cosmetics, gifts for other people, anything that looks good. Then I will go to the stores where I can buy all the things I need for the house and for my family.

We always seem to need something whether it is towels or shampoo, soap, drain cleaner, or something more like a television because someone in the house broke it again, by the end of the day it gets pretty tiring to be going all these different places. But now that technology has come out of futuristic science fiction movies and into our daily lives, I have been able to trade a wheeled metal basket for a different kind of shopping cart and I am not nearly as tired by the end of the day. When my online shopping cart is full, I just make an easy checkout and call it a day. It is really great to be able to trade the stores with the parking lots and crowds for the ecommerce storefront and do it all from the comfort of my home.
