Supporting Local Businesses

My husband and I like to go out with our neighbors on occasion for dinner. Both of them are into supporting local businesses, so they’ve introduced us to some great local restaurants. We usually have a lot of fun together.
They also talk abot the local shops in the old downtown area, most of which they’ve visited at one time or another. They like to visit the local hobby shop, since she is an artist. Apparently they have really great deal on canvasses there.
The one thing the local hobby shop doesn’t have is toy guns, so if you are looking to buy an airsoft gun it’s not the place for you. Many toy gun manufacturers such as Tokyo Marui and Echo1 airsoft make their guns appear pretty realistic, and not all places are into that — this hobby shop caters more to toy collectors and arts and crafts people.
Regardless of what you’re looking to do or buy — whether you are going out to eat, shopping for clothes or toys, or shopping for food for the week, look locally first. By patronizing local businesses, you support the community and keep the money local, rather than sending your hard-earned dollars to large corporations whose overpaid CEOs don’t live anywhere near you. Local is just better!
